1. Doesn’t my dog get enough nutrients from dog food?

Most popular pet food products are made with extremely poor quality ingredients. Pet food is a dumping ground for meat by-products unfit for human consumption. Even many so called “natural” or “premium” pet food products are made with ingredients of questionable quality and none contain the proper balance of Omega-3’s and Omega 6’s that your pet needs for optimum health.

2. My dog eats organic food. Isn’t that good enough?

Don’t be fooled by “natural” or “wholesome” claims on pet food products. Organic diets are a step in the right direction. However, your dog will still be missing the fatty acids that are found in Mussel Dog. Only Mussel Dog contains 30 fatty acids, more than 200X those found in natural or organic dog foods.

6. How much Mussel Dog should I give my pet?

Green-Lipped Mussels are grown on vines and harvested as mature mussels after approximately 15-18 months of growth. Therefore, it takes over a year to make a single bottle of Mussel Dog. As with any supplement, you should check with your health care provider regarding dosage. However, for overall health, 1-2 capsules per day is generally adequate for small-to-medium size dogs. And 2-4 capsules per day for larger dogs.

7. How is Mussel Dog different from other products on the market?

Mussel Dog is rich in nutrients 100% pure and natural, and the only dog supplement known in the world containing 30 fatty acids to help maintain overall health and wellness.

Through years of research, a process was developed to isolate and identify a natural marine
lipid extract comprising a rare combination of lipid groups and Omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, through a patented process, the green lipped mussels used in Mussel Dog are tested
and screened prior to harvesting to identify those mussels which are rich in free fatty acids. Using this selection process, we’re able to ensure the maximum efficacy for your dog.

Mussel Dog contains a rare complex of 30 fatty acids including DHA and EPA, derived from the non-polar lipids of New Zealand’s green lipped mussel (perna canaliculus).
The patented oil extract (PCSO-524®) is unique to Mussel Dog.
The green lipped mussels which contain the raw material for Mussel Dog are grown at the north tip of New Zealand’s south island in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds Region. The
Marlborough Sounds represents a perfect growing environment for mussels, with pristine waters and nourishing Pacific Ocean currents, free of toxins and other contaminants.

12. What is the process for making the patented oil extract in Mussel Dog?

The sorting process utilizes a patented process that
enables testing and screening of our green-lipped mussels prior to harvesting to identify those mollusks which are rich in free fatty acids, providing Mussel Dog with the finest quality for
processing.

After the mussels are harvested, they are rushed to the factory and processed immediately to ensure that the beneficial properties are fully protected. The mussels are stabilized and then
freeze-dried according to a patented process which is essential for the subsequent extraction of the lipids in the mussel. The processing plant conforms to the highest quality control standards,
which are strictly regulated by the MAF on behalf of the United States FDA and EU authorities including the New Zealand government. After the stabilized mussels have been freeze dried into powder, they are shipped to a factory for
processing into Mussel Dog. The mussel powder is then processed into the oil extract using our patented supercritical fluid extraction process (PCSO-524®)
